Rhinoplasty in Turkey

Your nose sits at the centre of your face, and even subtle refinement changes how the whole face reads. Istanbul is one of the world's leading destinations for rhinoplasty, and our board-certified surgeons combine high case volume with 3D preview technology to plan a nose that fits your features — and breathes as well as it looks.

How the treatment works

A good rhinoplasty starts long before the operating room. Your surgeon analyses your facial proportions, skin thickness and breathing, then agrees the plan with you using 3D simulation — so you both work toward the same, clearly defined result.

1

Consultation & 3D Simulation

Your surgeon examines your nose inside and out, discusses what bothers you, and creates a 3D simulation of the achievable result. Skin thickness, ethnicity-specific features and breathing are all factored into the plan.

2

Pre-Operative Tests

Blood work and an anesthesia consultation are completed at the hospital the day before surgery. Photographs from standard angles document your starting point for planning and follow-up.

3

Surgery

Under general anesthesia, the surgeon reshapes the bone and cartilage through open or closed access depending on your case. Ultrasonic instruments sculpt bone precisely where indicated, and any septal deviation is corrected at the same time. The operation takes two to three hours.

4

Splint & Hospital Night

A small external splint protects the new shape, and soft internal silicone supports — not painful old-style packing — assist healing. You stay one night in the hospital for comfort and observation.

5

Splint Removal & Flight Home

Around day 6–7 the splint is removed and you see your new profile for the first time — still swollen, but clearly changed. After a final check you are cleared to fly, with remote photo follow-ups scheduled through the year.

Candidacy

Who is suitable?

Rhinoplasty may be right for you if your facial growth is complete and there is a specific feature of your nose you would like refined. Typical candidates:

Are bothered by a dorsal hump, wide or drooping tip, or overall nose size Have asymmetry or crookedness from genetics or a past injury Have breathing difficulty from a deviated septum they want corrected in the same surgery Are at least 18 years old, when nasal growth is complete Are in good general health and a non-smoker, or willing to pause smoking Have realistic expectations — refinement in harmony with your face, not someone else's nose
Recovery

Your recovery timeline

1
Day 1
One night in hospital. Pressure and congestion are more noticeable than pain. Cold compresses around the eyes begin immediately to limit bruising.
2
Week 1
The splint comes off around day 6–7 — the moment most patients have been waiting for. Bruising under the eyes fades within 7–10 days, and you are cleared to fly home.
3
Month 1
Most visible swelling settles and you look normal to others, though the tip still feels firm. Glasses rest on a support, not on the nose bridge, until your surgeon approves.
4
Month 3
Roughly 80% of swelling is gone and the refined shape is clearly established. Sports resume, though contact sports still require care.
5
Month 12
Final result: the last subtle swelling in the tip resolves and the nose reaches its definitive shape. A remote review with photos completes your plan.
FAQ

Rhinoplasty — your questions answered

That is the entire philosophy of our planning. Your surgeon designs the change around your facial proportions, skin thickness and ethnic features rather than a standard template, and you approve a 3D simulation before surgery. The best compliment after rhinoplasty is "you look great" — not "you had your nose done."

Most patients are surprised by how little pain there is. The main discomforts are nasal congestion and pressure during the first week, plus temporary bruising around the eyes. Simple pain relief is usually sufficient, and we no longer use the painful gauze packing of older techniques.

Piezo surgery uses ultrasonic vibrations to sculpt bone with high precision while leaving soft tissue untouched. Compared with traditional instruments it typically causes less bruising and swelling, allows finer control over the bone work, and is used by our surgeons whenever your anatomy makes it advantageous.

Yes. A deviated septum, enlarged turbinates or weak nasal valves can be corrected during the same operation, so aesthetics and function are treated together. Tell us about snoring, blocked breathing or previous nasal trauma during your consultation so it is built into the surgical plan.

You will see a clear change when the splint is removed in the first week, and you will look socially presentable within two weeks. However, the nose refines gradually as deep swelling resolves — about 80% by three months and the final, definitive shape at around twelve months, especially in the tip.

Plan for 7 nights. This covers pre-operative tests, surgery with one hospital night, and splint removal with a final check around day 6–7 before you fly. Your all-inclusive package includes the hospital, hotel and VIP transfers, with a personal coordinator at every step.

Revision rhinoplasty is possible and is a specialised part of our surgeons' practice. It is more complex than a first operation and usually requires waiting at least 12 months after the previous surgery. Send us your photos and history for an honest assessment of what can realistically be improved.
